___________________________High Class__________________

Here is where UPPER and HIGH somehow do not mean the same thing
                        . . . when they most should.

American Heratage Dictionay: high-class   ADJECTIVE Of superior quality; first-class.

The upper class in old societies is the social class composed of the wealthiest members of society, who also wield the greatest political power. The upper class is generally contained within the wealthiest 1-2% of the population, and is distinguished by immense wealth (in the form of estates) which is passed from generation to generation. The term is often used in conjunction with the terms "middle class" and "lower class" as part of a tripartite model of social stratification.  This does not, however, define their state of "class".  Much more often than not, they tend to have less "class" than the so-called social lower classes.  This is our world, where terms often are used to mean something completely different than the implied definition of a word.  In this case, often the total opposite.

Most so-called upper class citizens have the least class in regards to  manners, consideration, ediquette, ethics, mental and moral hygeine.  That is not to say that you will find most of the lower classes in the same mental and physical shape (low) as well but "UPPER" class should mean the same as "HIGH" class and is often associated as the same thing when it most certainly is not.  A "class" of people should not refer to the amount of money they have.  This should not be considered as a factor for "classy" individuals.  In fact, in this world of over consumption and excess in nearly everything contributing to the ruin of the environment, too much money should be seen as a lower class mentality.  A class of a mind set that does not care about the environment, injury to others, beauty, wholesome food and air, litter, pollution etc. is the more of a rogue mind, a scavenger type in behavior and a slob in respective personal responsibility.  It is past time to correct and mend the "class" implications and requirments for UPPER class in this society.  This change is well under way and taking hold in more conscientious circles already.  Being "nice" in public is one of the first requirements for a citizen of "class".  Then respectively, stewardship of the home planet, care and treatment of the customs and languages, treatment to other inhabitants, physical and mental hygene, caution or care ( i.e. "minimalism as an example of an earth damages footprint" ) to the planet itself.  If I came to visit this planet and believed that the UPPER class is as good as it gets, what do YOU think my report on "Earth Civilization" would be?  Right!

Possibly you are thinking that enforcing HIGH CLASS in a true sense amongst the rich and politically powerful would be the answer but apparently this is not genetically possible and must be ruled out.

Studies have linked the hormones oxytocin and vasopressin to the way people treat each other, especially in close relationships. Scientists already know oxytocin promotes maternal behaviour, with people  exposed to the hormone in lab experiments demonstrating greater sociability. Researchers at the University of Buffalo and the University of California in  the United States wanted to apply these previous findings to a larger scale  to see if these chemicals promote other forms of nice behaviour, such as giving money to charity, environmental stewardship, appropriate clean language and so on.

The "nice" hormones work by binding people's cells through receptors. Certain genes determine how receptive people are to these hormones. As part of the study, participants were asked questions about their attitudes toward civic duty, such as whether people have a moral duty to report a crime, other people and whether the world is generally a good or bad place, and about their charitable activities, like giving blood or going to PTA  meetings. Of those surveyed, 711 people provided a sample of saliva for DNA analysis, that showed what form they had of the oxytocin and vasopressin receptors.  Results, published in the journal of Psychological Science, showed people having "nice"  versions of  the genes, which when combined with the subjects' views on the  world, made them more likely to help others.  "Specifically, study participants who found the world more threatening were less likely to help others - unless they had versions of the receptor genes that are generally associated with niceness.

"The fact that the genes predicted behaviour only in combination with people's experiences and feelings about the world isn't surprising because most connections between DNA and social behavior are that complex.  So, what about the rich and famous people, those born with the silver spoons in their mouths or those nurtured and cared for in a loving and healthy manner in their lives who are not nice people?  No, you can not make them be nice, it is now believed, unless they truly already are.  So, HIGH CLASS that should be UPPER CLASS should have "criteria" of which to qualify an individual from any walk of life, to be eligible in order to lift and maintain the UPPER CLASS to HIGH CLASS.

So, correcting the UPPER CLASS misnomer in society requires a change in the requirements for UPPER CLASS to change from a monetary value to a behavioral value.  It's out there.  It is being discussed regularly amongst aspirants of future causes.  This is what UPPER CLASS should have ALWAYS meant in society, "HIGH CLASS".  So, let's just do it!   Name it as it is!
